(This example applies to MS Outlook 2003, but it’s a similar process for all versions of Outlook with different wording etc).

  1. Open Outlook
  2. Goto > Tools > Email Accounts
  3. Select > View or change existing e-mail accounts
  4. Click > Next
  5. Click > Add
  6. Select > POP3
  7. Click > Next
  8. Enter the following information:
  9. User Information: Your name: enteryourname E-mail Address: enteryouremailaddress
  10. Server information: Incoming mail server (POP3) Outgoing mail server (SMTP)
  11. Logon Information: Account name: enteryouremailaddress Password: enteryourpassword
  12. Ensure > Remember Password > is ticked
  13. Click > More Settings
  14. Select Tab > Outgoing Server
  15. VERY IMPORTANT: Tick box > My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
  16. Click > OK
  17. Click > Test Account Settings
  18. Assuming Status = Completed
  19. Click > Close
  20. Click > Next
  21. Click > Finish
