(This example applies to MS Outlook 2003, but it’s a similar process for all versions of Outlook with different wording etc).
- Open Outlook
- Goto > Tools > Email Accounts
- Select > View or change existing e-mail accounts
- Click > Next
- Click > Add
- Select > POP3
- Click > Next
- Enter the following information:
- User Information: Your name: enteryourname E-mail Address: enteryouremailaddress
- Server information: Incoming mail server (POP3) Outgoing mail server (SMTP)
- Logon Information: Account name: enteryouremailaddress Password: enteryourpassword
- Ensure > Remember Password > is ticked
- Click > More Settings
- Select Tab > Outgoing Server
- VERY IMPORTANT: Tick box > My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
- Click > OK
- Click > Test Account Settings
- Assuming Status = Completed
- Click > Close
- Click > Next
- Click > Finish
