Configuring virtual hosts
You can add virtual hosts to the server’s configuration. This is useful for separating sets of applications and allows you to define administrators who have access only to a specific virtual host. It is also useful if you are an Internet Service Provider who is hosting websites using Flash Media Server.

Each virtual host on the server is associated with an adaptor.

To create a new virtual host, create a new virtual host directory inside the

/opt/macromedia/fms/conf/_defaultRoot_

directory in the Flash Media Server directory, for the adaptor you want to use for the new virtual host:

/opt/macromedia/fms/conf/_defaultRoot_/[virtual_host_name

This directory must include the following configuration files:

Vhost.xml
Application.xml
Users.xml
Logger.xml

You also need to add the new virtual host to the Server.xml file and add administrative users for that virtual host.
