(This example applies to MS Outlook 2003, however it’s a similar process for all versions of Outlook with different wording etc).

  • Open Outlook
  • Go to > Tools > Email Accounts
  • Select > View or change existing e-mail accounts
  • Click > Next
  • Click > Add
  • Select > POP3
  • Click > Next
  • Enter the following information:
  • User Information:
  • Your name: enteryourname
  • E-mail Address: enteryouremailaddress
  • Server information:
  • Incoming mail server (POP3): enteryourpop3hostname
  • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): enteryoursmtphostname
  • Logon Information:
  • Account name: enteryouremailaddress
  • Password: enteryourpassword
  • Ensure > Remember Password > is ticked
  • Click > More Settings
  • Select Tab > Outgoing Server
  • VERY IMPORTANT: Tick box > My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
  • Click > OK
  • Click > Test Account Settings
  • Assuming Status = Completed
  • Click > Close
  • Click > Next
  • Click > Finish
