Deploy War File on Private Instance of Tomcat using Tomcat Manager Web GUI#

To deploy a war file using tomcat manager when the war is located on the server use the following syntax:

In the Context textbox, type the name of the context you would like to use: e.g. if you want to create a web application which runs on the following URL: www.yourdomain.com/test, then type /test in the textbox, if you want your web application to run on the root of your domain e.g. www.yourdomain.com, you can type / into the textbox

If you copy the war into the root of your FTP folder, then type the following into the URL textbox:

file:d:\websites\[YOURDOMAIN]\[WARNAME].war
